Kya Anais Kerner

Architectural Designer

Kya is an architectural designer with a focus on natural and cultural heritage with a professional career spanning a wide range of scales and typologies. Her design process seeks both a continuity with the past and an exploration of future-oriented materialities and techniques. Kya spent two years teaching and living in an innovative design community in Barcelona where she studied material traceability, life cycle assessment, the design/ build model, and the potential of Mass Timber. Kya’s critically interdisciplinary and artistic approach brings a sensitive and innovative energy which results in ecologically attuned design solutions.
